Teacher education conferences 2020
It is our pleasure to announce the 2nd world conference on Future of Education coming to Brussels, Belgium on the 11th -13th of September, 2020. Our carefully designed agenda under the guidance of committee members and advisers will feature presentations on the most relevant topics in the field, from adult education, to psychology, to educational foundations, and many more. The international panel of speakers will facilitate engaging discussions and learning opportunities, while a free tour of the city will elevate your event experience to the next level. This is a unique opportunity to meet and learn from fellow researchers, academics, and scholars from all around the world. Make your contribution to the field by joining discussions, sharing your research, and brainstorming solutions to common problems.
- Distribution of medical masks and gloves to all participants. We will be strictly enforcing the rule to wear the mask at all times during the conference.
- Disinfection of the premises. The venue will be thoroughly disinfected before the event, following each conference day, and during breaks in between presentations.
- Disinfection of the equipment. Following each presentation, all equipment, including the laptop and slide pointers, will be thoroughly disinfected.
- Distanced seating. The seating will be arranged so that each participant is able to maintain a safe distance from others.
- Packaged meals. As opposed to a more traditional buffet, the participants will be catered packaged meals, which are prepared in accordance with WHO’s food safety guidance.
First Round History
The inaugural edition of the World Conference on Future of Education took place on September 12-14, 2019 in Rome, Italy.
During the course of the three days of the event, members of the academia, scholars, researchers, scientists, and non-profit and private sector representatives attended 30+ lectures and workshops. Both poster and oral presentations were selected by the prestigious scientific committee, resulting in stellar content, which dived into the most relevant and important topics in the field. The program featured presentations on such topics as teaching literature through Youtube videos, digital education platforms, innovative methodology of blended learning education, tracking emotions through facial expressions in online education systems, and numerous others…

Speech title: “Can something be learnt for the future of education from the educational past?”
Emeritus professor, ku leuven, campus kulak & leading researcher at the university of latvia
Marc Depaepe (1953) was deputy chancellor at the KU Leuven (2013-2017). Since 2005 co- editor-in-chief of Paedagogica Historica. Former president of the International Standing Conference for the History of Education (1991-1994) and member of the International Academy of Education (2012-). In 2015 he was awarded an honorary doctorate at the University of Latvia. Since 2018 Emeritus Professor of the KU Leuven and since 2019 Leading Researcher at the University of Latvia. Published abundantly on various aspects of international educational historiography and the history of education in Belgium and Congo.
Dr. Soraya Garcia-Esteban
Speech title: “Competency-based education in the digital era”
Soraya Garcia-Esteban MA (UWE), PhD (UAH) is a full-time professor in the Department of Modern Philology and the School of Education at University of Alcala. After many years of experience in several European higher education institutions, her teaching interests and participation in research projects related to virtual exchanges for skills & competence development integrating technology, pedagogy and content knowledge have resulted in numerous academic communications and publications. Soraya co-leads European+ project ErasmusX “Online courses for mobile students” and is now researching the formulation of design hypotheses for the integration of the global competence in academic courses in collaboration with the University of Antwerp.
